KCEC Hosts Annual Grand Rounds

Last Thursday November 7th, the doctors at the Kansas City Eye Clinic hosted their annual Grand Rounds for local optometrists at Hallbrook Country Club.  There were 65 optometrists in attendance and each attendee received 2 credits towards continuing education.  We hosted a cocktail hour followed by an excellent dinner in part of Hallbrook’s newly renovated clubhouse.

Dr. Carl Migliazzo, Dr. Fred Bodker, and Dr. Stephen Nichols were in attendance along with physician emeritus Dr. Michael Hettinger and Retina Associates’ Dr. Blake Cooper.  Our presenters for the evening were Dr. Sara O’Connell and Dr. Chris Ketcherside.  Dr. Sara O’Connell presented several neuro-ophthalmology cases and introduced a new glaucoma procedure known as the iStent.  Dr. Chris Ketcherside’s presentation was a Corneacopia of various cornea cases he has followed in the clinic within the last year.
